About Michele Palmer
Michelle Palmer has been creating her entire life: recording albums, touring the world with a band, and seeing beauty and possibility in objects all around her. She started working with clay in 2002 as a creative outlet easier to do with a young child than touring with a band. It was love at first sculpt. Michele works primarily through hand-building, often incorporating imprinted patterns of found objects, or wiring semi-precious stones into negative spaces.
Her work ranges from figures to practical objects, almost all with some sort of interactive element to invite people to engage with her art. “I always want to make beautiful things, but I love it even more when people can feel and touch and bring themselves to an object, be it a sculpted figure or a bowl - I hope people can feel a physical and emotional connection to art."
